Colleen Chafe is a Certified Aromatherapist, Herbalist, Nutritionist, Energy medicine practitioner MH CA HP
I became interested in natural health therapies in order to help myself with my health problems and to help others improve their own health. My health and the health of my family has improved beyond what was thought possible. My dad has overcome diabetes, lost weight and avoided a knee operation for arthritis. I helped my mom reduce her thyroid medication and lose weight which is hard to do when your thyroid is sluggish because it regulates metabolism. Their bones have regenerated beyond what was thought possible. I have resolved my own health issues getting to the root of my problem which is Celiac disease. Celiac disease is a serious autoimmune disorder due to dietary intolerance of gluten which is in wheat, rye, oats and barley. I understand food allergies and dietary changes. I like to get to the root cause of problems and focus on detoxification and building constituitions.
I am an Aromatherapist graduate from The Aromatic Lyceum ~ Acqua vita.
I also learned various aromatherapy treatments such as Reflexology, Ear candling, Energy medicine that involves working with energy systems and Aromatherapy Massage, in which I received an additional diploma for.
I studied Traditional Herbalism from a Western perspective, and being a fully trained Medical Herbalist I am a Holistic Herbal graduate from Living Earth School of Natural Therapies and studied there for four years.
Other complementary herbal therapies I have studied include the Bach flower remedies, flower essences, homeopathy and TCM.
My training includes case studies, treating clients in a supervised holistic herbal clinic and dispensary, and clinical apprenticeships. I am interested in all natural healing arts, but my main focus is on herbal extracts and essential oils.
All herbs and herbal products are either certified organic, organically grown or wildcrafted. They are not irradiated, fumigated or are grown from genetically modified stock.
